บริษัท ผลิตไฟฟ้า จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ EGCO Group ได้รับการคัดเลือกให้เป็นสมาชิกดัชนีความยั่งยืนดาวโจนส์ กลุ่มดัชนีตลาดเกิดใหม่ ประเภทสาธารณูปโภคไฟฟ้า (DJSI in Emerging Markets - Electric Utilities) ประจำปี 2023 ต่อเนื่องเป็นปีที่ 4 สะท้อนการดำเนินธุรกิจตามแนวทางการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน เพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมายการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ (Net Zero) ภายในปี 2050

EGCO Group ดำเนินธุรกิจผลิตไฟฟ้าและธุรกิจที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับพลังงานมากว่า 31 ปี ด้วยทิศทาง “Cleaner, Smarter, and Stronger to Drive Sustainable Growth” โดยได้ประกาศเป้าหมายใหม่ที่ท้าทายและเข้มข้นมากขึ้น ด้วยการขยับเป้าหมายการบรรลุความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอน (Carbon Neutral) ให้เร็วขึ้นจากเดิม 10 ปี เป็นปี 2040 และเพิ่มเป้าหมายใหม่ คือ การบรรลุ Net Zero ภายในปี 2050 ขณะเดียวกันได้ร่วมดูแลสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างต่อเนื่อง ด้วยการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตชุมชนรอบโรงไฟฟ้า การส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้พลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อมในเยาวชน และการอนุรักษ์ดูแลป่าต้นน้ำและความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพในพื้นที่ดำเนินกิจการ และผ่านการดำเนินงานของมูลนิธิไทยรักษ์ป่า ตลอดจนมีนโยบายการเปิดเผยข้อมูลอย่างโปร่งใส ทั่วถึง และเป็นธรรม เพื่อให้ผู้มีส่วนได้เสียมีโอกาสติดตามและตรวจสอบการดำเนินงานอย่างโปร่งใส

EGCO Group listed on DJSI for 4th year in a row, commitment to sustainability and Net Zero 2050 goal is strongly confirmed

Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group was selected for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) 2023 in the Emerging Markets Index – Electric Utilities for the 4th consecutive years. The world-class recognition has confirmed the company’s commitment to sustainable development and to achieving Net Zero goal by 2050.
